BOB, August 2015: how our film THE CUT VOL.7 was made

In its August 2015 issue, the monthly hairdressers' magazine BOB ran 「イメチェンの楽しさが伝わる動画。伝える動画」 — films that share the fun of a new look. Over six pages, it follows one of our ASSORT FILMS from the first shot to the finished film.
The feature
The magazine asks readers to imagine making a film that shares the fun of a new look and putting it on the internet, and tells them anyone can start. It presents our CEO Ken Kobayashi as the maker of these films, with his tips for making them.
How the film is made
The magazine walks through the shoot in order: the model, playing a guest, on the way to the salon; the arrival; the cut in front of the mirror; the finished style. It says the star is always the model having the change of look, and that keeping the hairdresser's face from showing too much is what makes the film stylish.
When the shoot is done, the clips are joined in order with editing software, sped up to about three minutes, and finished with their captions. Readers could watch the film by holding a phone over the page.
The film is THE CUT VOL.7. Ken made it with the salon's team, and it was published under the name ASSORT FILMS.
The feature is in Japanese, in BOB of August 2015 (no.146). It shows Assort as it was in 2015.
