WWD Beauty's eleven hairdressers that hairdressers look up to: Ken Kobayashi
On 16 July 2015, WWD Beauty, the weekly beauty paper of WWD Japan, ran the cover story 「今、美容師が憧れる美容師11人」 — eleven hairdressers that hairdressers look up to now. Our CEO Ken Kobayashi was one of the eleven.
The cover story
The cover shows the hairdressers chosen for the story. Ken is among them, and the paper gives him an interview page of his own.
What the paper says
The paper calls Ken 「注目の若手美容師」 — a young hairdresser to watch. It tells how he opened Assort in 2011, and remarks that opening abroad as well as in Japan was unusual.
On the same page, its box on what hairdressers look up to in him reads 「既成概念にとらわれない」 — not being tied to fixed ideas.
The feature is in Japanese, in WWD Beauty of 16 July 2015 (vol.370). It shows Assort as it was in 2015.
